With a love for the region and the Douglas Shire community, Williams Cete & Co is the brainchild of two dedicated principals, who aspired to bring ownership of a renowned, long-standing practice back to Port Douglas and Mossman.

2023 (March)
Mitch Williams & Greg Cete acquire the practice from SIDCOR and establish Williams Cete & Co
2020 (June)
Mitch Williams becomes a partner and Managing Principal.
2019 (August)
Greg Cete joins the practice
2017 (February)
Both Marg Everett and Kevin Roe retire. The practice is then sold to SiDCOR, a top 50 accounting firm in Australia.
2016
Mitch Williams joins the practice.
2012
MGI Cairns and Nick Watson separate from the Practice.
2009
Lex Cockrell Retires.
2002
Marg Everett and Nick Watson are admitted as Partners.
1998
Practice in Port Douglas purchased from Peter Froelich.
1997
Marg Everett joins the practice.
1997
Kevin Roe and David Vinicombe become partners.
1993
Kevin Roe joins the practice.
1989
Mossman office relocates to 53 Front Street. The same address we are still at today.
1987
The practice joins the worldwide MGI network and is renamed to MGI Cockrell Reese
1985
The Port Douglas office is opened and run by Joan Murday.
1979
An office in Cairns is opened.
1974
Lex Cockrell joined the practice with Mr Reese retiring not long after. The practice is renamed Cockrell Reese.
