Are you an experienced and talented accountant, with a passion for numbers and a desire to live in one of the most beautiful locations in the world? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as a senior accountant in our Port Douglas office!
In this exciting and challenging role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and industries and to use your expertise and experience to provide high-quality, value-added services.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- The preparation of financial statements, taxation returns and tax plans for a wide range of individual and business clients
- The preparation of additional statutory reporting requirements, including payroll tax, WorkCover and QBCC matters.
- The creation and implementation of business cash flow, forecasting and other various value-add reporting material
- The preparation of BAS, FBT, TPAR and other ATO lodgements as required
- Corresponding with the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of clients
- Providing support and assistance to the management team
- Mentoring and working with junior staff
The role provides a pathway to:
- Provision of support to Principal on advisory matters
- Opportunities for career development and role progression into a senior client manager position

To be successful in this role, Candidates should possess the following attributes:
- Completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Major) or equivalent
- Currently studying towards or recently attained CA/CPA qualifications
- 3+ years of business services and taxation experience
- Sound knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles and procedures
- High quality organisational and time management skills
- Strong teamwork skills, with experience working towards team goals and KPIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
